Cryptic City of Sinisters
Lies in their dreams, a tale to tell.
Beyond the afterlife’s horror,
Insanity howls upon the rise of citadel.
Phantasm appears to terrify like melodious torture.
Dozing underneath the bleeding moonlight,
Accompanied by the echoes of hissing ghouls.
Tottering amongst nothing but gloom in sight.
Secrets of the tenebrous passageways concealed in forgotten souls,
Left unspoken.
Phantasmic chaos provokes,
Prompting distressing and unraveling thoughts,
Mortals manifest the reveal of a hoax.
The elements of paranormalism swirl in twisted knots.
The clock tower ticks midnight,
Warning the forthcoming revival of an ancient legend.
Leaving one petrified enough for a lifetime and tonight.
Incapable of winking even for a second.
The first woke up to creaky footsteps,
The second has heard silent screams outside the doorstep,
The third has attempted to hush the afterlife,
Only to pay a fatal price.
Cryptic howls from the possessed shadows by the lake,
The once lurking spirits are now awake.
Thunder claps by the old celina cemetery,
Putting celina out of the ordinary.
Life becomes a living ghetto,
Happiness and welfare have departed.
Terror and fright is now a chilling reality show.
A big misfortune rises behind the eclipse leaving even the almighty outsmarted.

Abstract horror/paranormalism with personal fear experiences grounded in specific scenes.
Dense accumulation of images, supernatural concepts, and narrative vignettes per line.
Overwhelmingly dark, terrifying, distressing tone with dread throughout.
Intense, kinetic language: howling, hissing, creaky, thunder claps, explosive imagery.
Approximately 42 lines; falls in 31-60 range.
Extensive metaphor, personification, simile; highly ornamented gothic diction throughout.
Mix of lyric internal dread and dramatic third-person narrative vignettes of three mortals.
