Crystal clear

Honesty is

overrated

like a simple lens

from times past

that is crystal clear

in its affection

for light

and while it hugs the shadows

tasting every bit of

darkness,

it shows the raw beauty

of lines

that time drew

on our skin.

While others try

to paint perfection

over truth

mounted on sticks

made to see ourselves,

to love ourselves,

my toungue

or eyes

or fingers

point at nothing

but the truth,

hoping on the promise

that it will set us free.
