CUCKOOS NEST LOVE

Wondering down a path Trials and court systems Coming to a spoon in the road Facing that time is running out Shiny little metal wanting to be touched Love the person sitting across the room Touched and transported Hate their vulgarity towards others Taken to a glorious place Moving in slow motion Knowing it’s safer here To end this messy fight Protection from reality Losing grip on humanity Small moments, small glimpses They will never be the same Fading memories, lost in burnt pictures Same person as first meeting Looking down, tears drop Fighting for our survival The spoon vanishes to another magic hollow Our stupid love thrives on.
