Culture of Disgrace

Your daughters sneer and cackle

your sons threaten and boast

Endanger and rape

your wives whisper amongst each other

coo the young and sheild their eyes

and you provide for your own

and slowly kill us all

after three years of threats, many of which

were accompanied by box cutters, bottles,

groups of young men

you shame me for carrying a single blade

which has never been used to hurt

and I pray never will be
