That Cup

Oh how I loved my Duke
Oh how I loved him so.
I watched the blood leave his face
and leave him white as snow.
He tried to get rid of me, he did
A devastating blow
And goodbye to me he tried to bid,
But to his surprise I did not go.
Slipped something dreadful into my tea,
Filled it to the brim
His awful attempt at killing me;
well...
That cup went to him.
