Cup of Coffee

One cup of coffee makes an idea

The ingredients are the recipes for making it

The cup of coffee

As I poured in two teaspoons of sugar,

I wonder how I could mimic that cup

My face lit up! What an interesting idea

I grabbed the cocoa powder and took

Two and a half spoonfuls of it

Into the coffee and sip

My eyes squinted. Too bitter

And dark. I added some milk

And sip. Better but still acidic

I reached for the sugar and added

One into my drink

Good. Progress was being made.

But this cup needed something else

My face lit up, and I dashed into

The pantry and caught my mother's

Hot chocolate mix. I pouted one tablespoon

Of it into the coffee

Yes, yes this is delightful

How the scent melted into my mouth

Just my cup of coffee
