The Curator
She stared with eyes of gold
at a time considered far past old
A time of gods and monsters they say,
A time she had locked away-
Within her mind and in her soul
She could not go back although she wished
so she stared here at items once adrift
She collects these trivial things
To give knowledge to other beings
It shows a time that she sorely missed.
Athena, the curator for the museum
Would have much rather been at a coliseum
But she's a goddess out of time
To her it'd be a crime
To deprive the humans of this freedom
The freedom to appreciate and learn
The freedom others had wanted them to earn
But not Athena, oh no
no she had given it as a gift
hoping one day to heal their burn
She is the Curator, the one in charge
Bringing mystical objects in, whether small or large
She is the one unseen, moving in the shadows
to bring knowledge to those who need it she'd suppose
You won't know its her and thats fine,
just know she's rooting for you, she'll give you a sign
