The Cure

What can fill my empty heart?

What can make the flowers bloom once more?

When the birds have stopped singing,

There is no music everywhere I go.

My journey has become endless,

And my wings have been broken.

Who should I turn to?

How could I reclaim my joy?

What is a sure method to follow?

What can relieve my tired heart?

If there would be a remedy,

Would it signal a new start?

But then one day something changed,

And the clouds have never been that bright,

What was broken was mended,

When your charm seized the dark.

The light you brought became my comfort,

As days slowly turn to months.

And in the remaining hours,

I yearn to be nowhere, but in your arms.

Hey there! 🌟 High school me turned to writing short stories and poems for kicks, and it's been a love affair ever since. At present, I'm a special education teacher, guiding an amazing bunch of diverse kiddos. I channel my romantic soul into my poetry, often inspired by people close to me or just good old self-reflection. Love is my muse, I guess. I'd love for you to dive into my world of words and can't wait to experience your poetry too! Let's connect and get inspired together! 😊 Yey!
