Curiosity

What is reality? What if our perceived reality was in fact a dream? The grass, the sun, the clouds; all just small fragments of our imagination. As we go about our days we think. We are here for a purpose. But, what if we weren’t? Maybe we are like puppets, awaiting the inputs from the master puppeteer. There are so many “ifs”, so many possibilities. But we think with closed minds, unwilling to broaden them. There is a fear of instability; a fear that creates ignorance, a fear that weighs us down. Live without fear and we are no longer puppets

This poem was inspired by my Theory of Knowledge class as well as a conversation I recently had with a close friend. Sometimes what we know to be true can be proven unknown. The realization of this idea can be amazing and yet frightening.
