Curiosity

Oh look something new.

Something I never knew.

Isn’t it wonderful to learn,

To discover the unknown.

How fascinating to broaden one’s horizons.

The thrill of being able to understand,

It is an unmatched joy and excitement.

Why be educated? Why school?

Because then you understand.

You know how to communicate.

You can craft palaces out of paragraphs.

You learn the chemistry of life.

How you work.

The compounds that create our world.

You learn how to define motion and mechanics,

Using the tongue of numbers and algebra,

Arithmetic and calculus.

Why?

Why learn?

English, math, science, history

The point.

To know

To understand.
