Curly hair- How do I handle you?

Not a typical Polish girl’s trait 

Standing out like a red bush 

and making me uneasy

I get this nauseous feeling 

I just look so… different 

I could have straightened it

Or maybe just my bangs 

Wait! My favorite singer does too?

She’s Romanian, not Polish

Who cares?! Who knew?

We have something in common! 

I guess that’s it then. 

I’ll go curly. Just like her.

I’ll be brave and try something new. 

I won more than I knew.
