Currency

What moves us currently Is it money, be it currency It chokes the breathless As it starves the hungry Because the absence of power Is the absence of currency The power to move The power to act The power of fiction The power of fact Not everyone wants it But everyone needs it The homeless crave it While the wealthy bleed it Have it sparingly you prosper While those who crave it falter Those inspired by a luxurious mire Still fall victim to turbid attire The dry only want a feel of the swamp Currency to them is lonely and all dried up But they may fare better than those in the swamp While they want and need some sink in greed Currency
