I greet

You roll your eyes

I smile

You stare

I compliment

You ignore

I give you a sample

You complain and question

What do you want from me?

I'm not your genie,

Here to grant all your wishes

I'm just another human being

Don't look down on me

Don't you know that's just disrespectful?

Look at me when I talk to you

I'm not lesser of a human being

Just because I work part-time

I make my own money

I go to college full-time

I do well in school

What else do you want?

I give suggestions

You sigh

You drop something

You stare at me

Waiting for me to clean it up

Of course I ask if you are okay

You complain

You yell

You want my manager

I'm done with customers like you

I question how you came to be

I lose more faith in humanity

I wonder why you're still here

In the end, I smile

I thank you

I await the next customer
