Cutting

Lost,
Running in circles.
Frightened,
with nowhere to go.
Death,
Creeps up quietly.
Like fog,
seeping from the ground.

Life,
drains away slowly.
Killing,
the light from within.
Pain,
replaces the fear.
Cutting,
through me like razors.

Dark,
is what I see now.
Relieved,
the pain is fading.
See?
My body lies still.
Wrists,
still bleeding steadily.

Dead,
Is what I now am...
