The Cutting Edges

Edge seems to be a word that all are familiar with,

introduced in the third grade as,

the place where two sides meet in a prism.

But like all concepts twisting with age,

an Edge takes different meanings later on as,

the Edge between nowhere and somewhere.

These aren't it however,

we've only made it to the fifth grade,

come and let us march to the seventh grade.

Here things take a rather vicious turn,

the Edge of a knife gleams and preys on the young with,

dangerous beauty outside and immobile cold inside.

The time for promotion has come and the ninth grade is here,

everything is technical and personality is at risk,

develop an Edge to yourself for protection.

These are only my definition of an Edge,

more cutting Edge definitions are formed unendingly with enough time as,

there is never a dull Edge allowed to live too long.
