Cutting Myself Short

The moment I walked across the stage to accept my undergraduate degree

I knew my childhood days were far behind

I was about to enter a world of job hunting and debt repayment

Oh, the woes of adulthood

If I had the chance, I would do it again

Be a better listener

Grasp the reality that I cannot do it alone

Everyone needs help

Asking for it doesn’t make you weak, but strong

Resources are available

Don’t be afraid to inquire

You don’t want to be in graduate school

Wishing that you should of, could of, or would of
