CYBER STALKED - THE AFTERMATH

sweaty fingers dance quickly along the keys
my heart beating so fast my feet want to leave
my mind rewinds on repeat “ what was the last thing I saw?”
on repeat “what was the last thing I saw?

fearful eyes scan rapidly every nook and cranny I see
paranoia sits next to me my new best friend that never leaves
as I scan my pc screen looking for signs for clues for proof
that someone has entered through the back door

rationality has up and left as high security tightens all outlets
passwords now a metre long data logs checked and the time passes on
email address changed several times mobile numbers I am on my ninth
my friends fear for my mental health my life has become a real nightmare

cybercrime reported I waited for help Knowledge of the attacker I thought it would help
the police were useless and unsympathetic my assailant had been clever clearing all traces
crime support was anything but it would have been better if I was mugged
I moved across water to stop the attacks but the effects of the crime remain present not past

no presence on Facebook twitter and more, my presence online is unseen I write poetry but not as me
my ex sits at home happy and chilled no remorse shown for what he has done
what kind of world is this when a crime is only acknowledged when money exists
oh how my ignorance had been bliss whereas my reality is now very grim.
