Cycle

No one knows the secrets we keep
No one knows the thoughts in our sleep
Those deadly ones that come before wake
Those thoughts that put reality at stake

Worlds beyond our wildest dreams
So fragile, stitched seam by seam
So fragile as it breaks away
Wanting oh so badly to stay

Broken is the sun of our world
Broken like that sad little girl
Hiding its dread with a wide open smile
Hoping to keep you just for a while

Round as a circle reflecting life's chain
A cycle revolving our pain
Stressing its links until nothing can hold
Restarting again to see what unfolds
