The Cycle

Excited!

Oppourtunity is knocking!

It's constantly pounding.

It's constantly talking.

Exhausted.

In the World of Tomorrow.

You can reach your dreams!

Here's some money to borrow!

Indebted.

Like a beggar I plead.

In MLA format,

For strangers to read.

Disheartened.

I pursue education.

My legs are weighed down,

By fruitless applications.

Shame.

I feel like a joke.

The oppourtunity surrounds me,

But I've only grasped smoke.

Clarity.

Sadness is a mistake

I'll miss every chance,

That I never take.

Hope.

I'll continue to try.

I will not be knocked down.

My future is nigh.
