Cycle
Bright embers clash together in still air
A somber mood is born among the exultant
redwood forest
Evoked by a single flame not yet identified.
Nothing but darkness with a light ombre of red and
orange is left where a luscious green forest full of life
and tranquility once stood.
It feels as though all hope is lost for a returning light
to bring peace back to that forest.
But all that is surely true
Is that time will take its course and bring the vigor
back another day.
