The Cycle of Joy

What’s in a smile?

Happiness and joy

The eyes gleam a while

The cheeks made docile

Living little years

Full of solitude

Then the pain disappears

Evaporates the tears

A single moment

An hour no more

Defying resentment

Woe meets its lonely end

Then the cycle begins…

What’s in a vision?

Passion and resolve

Memories of affection

Tossed, mixed in with ambition

Past twenty cycles

Undeterred dreaming

Reformed in its own style

Returning the worlds smile

Exiling the blue

Replaced with fresh hearts

Inspired to be born anew

Then the cycle continues...
