The cycle of the seasons

Crunchy leaves,

rolled down sleeves.

Winter coats on,

those frosty days have begun.

Oh how the sun still shines,

for it comes just in time.

As the thundering clouds,

start to overcrowd.

The storm bellows out through the town,

pushing people back inside to begin to settle down,

cosy in their houses, warm and snug they stay,

for the winter months aren’t far away

Dark skies and bitter breezes,

the people shiver as the water freezes.

Branches slimming day by day,

as we reach further away.

Deeper we go into the crisp seasons ahead,

but for now I lie here in bed.

Cosy near the fire far from alone,

oh how I've never felt more at home!

Finally!

The colours are back!

It is almost as though I have been keeping track!

The sun appears once more,

hoping it will stay, but still not sure.

Although it may not, we know whats ahead,

for soon the warmer months will be spread!

Almost too hot now!

More than we had hoped,

for all the times we had moped.

About the dark and cold days,

we shall now embrace the sun and its rays!

Warm breeze less evenings seem to be so pleasing,

oh how can one describe this feeling!

Temperature rises and we soon start to feel,

that what comes next does seem to appeal.

We will prepare now for the cycle to start once more,

just like it had before
