Cycles of The Night

Fri, 04/29/2016 - 12:47 -- Wolvena

Cycle 1

A black sky above

Soft light illuminates all

Watch the world below

Darkness spreads comfort

A blanket for them to rest

Weary eyes close, dream

The night, tranquil time

A peace unseen in sunlight

Plays out quiet song

Cycle 2

Bright are moon and stars

Guides in the dangerous world

Steady in death’s grasp

Soft and gentle light

Soften the world's sharp edges

Stars and moon blur all

In black tapestry

Silver and gold thread shine out

Capture moon and stars

Cycle 3

Silver moon wanes now

Toward the new moon’s birthing

The moon waxes, bright

Night of clouds, the moon

Pierces through its dark cover

To light a new world

Moon of silver shine

In shadowed places forlorn

Hope is lit again
