The Cynic
When it comes to change
I'm a cynic
When it comes to change
I'm a brat
When it comes to change
I'm a skeptic
But when it comes to action
I can do that
Though I don't know if what I am doing
Has any greater effect
I can see the smiles on their faces
When all else may be a wreck
If I can be the light of day
After a sullen storm
If after the harsh blizzard
I can be a fireside's warm
Why wouldn't I at least try
To be this person for the world
And if not the world for someone
Though I may be just one hopeless girl
When it comes to change,
I'm a cynic
When it comes to change,
I'm a brat
When it comes to change,
I'm a skeptic
But when it comes to action,
I can do that
