D for Decay

We live in a city that's been dying for decades. It's suffering a slow collapse like the Roman Empire. Could it already be dead? When you see pictures of burned out houses It’s like a warzone Or a city that has been bombed. Some are proud to say they live here, Others know that the house of cards Is collapsing beneath them. Where is this post-apocalyptic city? It is Detroit. The famed Motorcity. The infamous city that is always burning And the people left are often dying. What happened for it to be so destroyed? Withdrawal by the Big Three, And by citizens who could afford To move to the suburbs. Let's not forget the three riots. Did Detroit ever recover from the Great Depression? So, is Detroit slowly dying, Or is it already dead?
