Dad
He lifted me in his strong arms,
Held me above every one.
The cracks of joy around his eyes,
The look of tremendous pride.
Every day he comes home
With a weary smile, in a suit and tie.
He only cries the tears of laughter,
And hides the rest somewhere inside.
I see him as the strongest man,
Perfect in his imperfections.
No need for a cape or laser eyes,
To be the hero of my life.
