dad

Accessible is what my father never was

The rationality of it was gone when I was young

Who could argue with me that I had a father

When I was alone to surrender not conquer

I was lost to ask what this role meant

What type of shape was I supposed to mold when the cookie cutter was bent

My mother was sorry but there was no explanation

He was dead and like a leader who couldn’t lead the nation

Of a family so strewn a boat lost at sea

While drowning I asked who is he?
