Dad

Dad, you've been there through it all

From picking me up from the police station at the mall

To watching me grow inches tall

When I was down

You were always the one to stick around

Making sure I never gave up

You helped me stitch my deepest cuts

When your on the road you always keep in touch

I wanted to say thank you

And have all your wishes come true

Today is the day when all of our eyes are focused on you

Your 55 years young

And still high strung

Everything in this poem is true

Happy Birthday and I love you
