Dad

The blue eyes and goofy smile

That brought me bliss

The sarcasm and jokes

That I will surely miss

The voice that I grew up to love

It all belonged to he

He who had no choice.

He who was betrayed by fate

but had found out

too little too late

Bound by a time limit

He made the best of it

but the time came,

He was taken away

and that’s all there is to say.

This is where my trial begins.

This was the battle that nobody wins.

The blue eyes and goofy smile

I already miss

If only I could bring back the bliss.
