To Dad

Dear Dad,

You say you love me but in your mind I'm just a game.

For you to look good in court so the judge can feel your pain.

You say you want to see me but I know that's just a lie.

You love my brother more than both of us combined.

You can lie and say you don't remember the unkindly words you said.

But the second I turn 18 the vision of you and me will be dead.

 Sincerely, your daughter
