Dad your the voice guiding me through

You’re the voice That gave me strength Through the weakness And left with me with the Ointment of love and person that I become Now you’re gone and it’s been years, And in my mind it was like yesterday When you disappear You’re in everywhere I look Your absence is in every memory, song lyric and every thought The illusion of your still here You’re the voice inside my head That won’t go away Guiding through each day Pushing me to do better To believe myself That I can do this Even when chips are down And I’m at the end of my rope You’re the hope For what I’m to become.
