Dada
This rose is all I have of you,
And some memories too.
But what I wish is that we had more.
You could have seen me graduate
From college, whenever that may be.
You would have loved it,
Because I know you cared
Up until the last moment.
How you did nothing but protect
The ones you cared for.
How you loved each and every one
Of your family.
And how you kept me
From seeing you “weak” all these times.
When all I could ever think of,
Was how you raised me
To be as strong as you.
You make me proud to call you
My dad.
