"Daddy"

Dear "Daddy",

It started off when I was young.

When you'd yell those nasty words with the devil's tongue.

We may not have remembered everything you said.

Something i'll always remember is the tears i've shed.

Even though i'm little and cant express myself  with words...

But maybe one day i'll be as free as the flying birds.

So sit with me daddy.

Ill tell you the truth.

Instead of calling from a nearby phone booth.

Maybe it wasn't meant to be after all.

Knowing someones leaving when you first started to crawl

I use to be the twinkle in my daddy's eye.

But eventually you left without even saying goodbye.
