Daddy
Not a day goes by as to wondering if you are finally proud of me, Daddy.
You're still alive but you feel dead to me inside, do you feel it too Daddy?
I cry, I scream, I kick, I shout. I wonder if you hear this when you're alone.
Do you feel the pain that builds inside of me Daddy?
You once claimed I was your little princess but my tiara is crumbing Daddy.
Broken dreams and memories are all I remember you by.
Do you remember the note you wrote me, Daddy?
"I promise I'll always be there for my sugarfoot. Love, Daddy"
Where are you now?
You were the same one to make me smile now I can't wipe the frown away Daddy.
I hope you can still hear my voice calling for you Daddy.
I pray to God that the alcohol hasn't drowned all the sound out.
I want to spin around like I use to and you would be standing there for me Daddy.
I miss the days where drinking wasn't habit and you were still here for me Daddy.
I hope you know that I have glue to put my tiara back together again.
I want you to know that no matter where you are or what type of pain this has caused for me, I will always be Daddy's little sugarfoot.
