To Daddy
Im missing your face, though i can never quite picture it
And Im missing your voice, though its sound i dont remember
Im missing your warm touch, though its something Ive never felt
I miss all these things,
And I wish you missed them, too.
Maybe you believed I didnt need you,
But boy were you wrong.
I struggle to get through each day,
And mum,
its like shes not even there.
why are you doing this to me?
how is this fair?
my girlfriend is trying to make up for what im missing,
fix that hole you left gaping,
but see,
now my girl,
shes breaking too.
you left us all in ruins,
i feel ill never rebuild.
somehow,
in all your absence,
you hurt me more than anything,
or anyone,
you cut me deeper than any blade ever could,
and yet,
you're a thousand miles away.
Despite all of this though daddy,
I love you,
and I miss you all the same.
