Daddy's Hands

In my father's hands

I suffered abuse

In my father's hands

I never knew love

In my father's hands

I lived in fear

In my father's hands

I sought acceptance

In my father's hands

I almost died.

In my Daddy's hands

I started to heal

In my Daddy's hands

I knew safety

In my Daddy's hands

I learned about nurture

In my Daddy's hands

I realized I could fit in

In my Daddy's hands

I was able to live.
