Daddy's Little Girl

She used to be inside me

A piece I never thought could part

Until one day, without warning, she left,

And completely changed my heart.

I saw who he truly was now, the man he hid inside.

He was not a real father, not now, not ever,

All he's ever done is hide.

Daddy's little girl is lost, with no hope of being found,

She'll hope, she'll dream, she'll wish, she'll pray,

But he'll never come around.

The hurt that he's caused goes too deep,

The lies and deceit, too strong,

No matter what he does, whether now or then,

Will change what he's done wrong.

Now I sit here, all alone, with the haunting of my heart,

Missing Daddy's Little girl so badly,

Knowing we'll forever be apart.

If I could change one thing in life,

Anything at all,

It would be to have my daddy back,

My daddy before my broken heart,

Paul.
