daddy's money didn't
don't judge me for who I am
or what I want
when your sins are just as bad as mine.
don't you tell me that I'm going to hell
when you're the one doing what you do
to impress the people you don't like.
don't tell me how to live my life
because your life
and my life
are two very different things
and I damn well deserve
the same happiness that you deserve.
don't expect me to live up to your standards
trust me when I say
letting people down happens to be a skill of mine
so expect what you don't know.
daddy's money didn't get me
to where I am today.
daddy's money provided food and a house
and an education i'm happy with
but daddy's money didn't give me
the motivation I possessm
or the passion in my life.
so don't you ever try to tell me
how to be me.
you do you, and I'll do me.
deal?
