Dads

He is a teacher, letting you fall

Despite how hard, he has to stand tall

He knows you will always learn from your fails

And ablaze he will set, clean paths and new trails

He is a hero, inspiring your dreams

Believing your goals no matter how daft they seem

When you abandoned your hopes and your wishes once more

He was there every time, to make your wings soar

He is a knight, always there to protect you

Keeping you from shattering, and giving up too

He realizes that he can’t catch you all the time

So he shows you how to do it yourself in his prime

He is patience itself, with infinite wait

Eternity is no match for all his good traits

He won’t get frustrated when you make a mistake

Because life's too short to get caught up in quakes

He is so lenient, an ocean of forgiveness

No matter the circumstance, he’s magnanimous

He represents your spirit, and vigor, and soul

And nurtures them with everlasting console

Unlike mothers who often look after you

The journey of life, he guides you through

Dads are a blessing, perfect in every single way

We need them more than we think everyday
