Daily

She begins the day as she always does Wake, bathroom, email and maybe homework She trudges to work, dreading the filth she has to serve Dreading the criticism she will receieve, no doubt She goes throughout, looking forward to friends who make it better There is a gap of age, but to them, it matters not Fun is fun, as she says She departs, promises of seeing warm faces later And she arrives home, feeling empty and alone The one she loves is gone, so close, but so far away The feeling of helplessness shrouds her as she listens to his horrible day without her And she weeps Oh, like a child, she weeps for hours Hoping that one day she can break free of her norm And live the way she feels she should By a lover's side With something to fill her daily life, something better than slaving away To people who deserve it not
