Daily Round

Eyes of compassion...Be aware!

Staring can get a reaction, causing a distraction

Another moment missing in action.

So I’m simply asking why? Why stare?

(But) Be careful because mother always said to be aware is to be alive.

Guess she wasn’t wise enough to believe in her own light

Or was it all lies??

Arise, if you see no reason for being kind

The fault lies in you.

My man in the mirror take another look

Slowly my brother, watch out for the right hook

If only life came with an instruction book

May life protect us and surprise us

And only to build trust.

Great mystery of sleep

Protector of fantasies and visions

Purge us of anger and fears

Draw near another morning

Renewing of ours dreams

Provide us a fulfilled spirit

Until we rest again.

Amen.
