Daisy
I was in a state of bliss
the first time she gave me a kiss
and now forever I will miss… Daisy.
When she looked me in the eye
I fought against the urge to cry
'cause I knew I’d have to say goodbye… to Daisy.
She had me wrapped around her finger
and still the closer I tried to bring her
in hopes that in her heart I’d linger… please Daisy?
Now she lives across from me
that green light always taunting me
if only I had the courage to see… my Daisy.
But now that I have her again
Nick, I must tell you, my friend
I fear this happiness will end… because of Daisy.
As I face the madman’s gun
I do not try to flee or run
and I whisper to the setting sun… why Daisy?
