Daisy

Daisy, my cousin that shamed the

Snow white lilies

The daffodils play a taps,

Their trumpets buzzed a day too early

Cruel hands plucked your petals

One by one

She loves me, she loves me not

And in sick glee,

Splattered your white petals red

A flower’s last flush unseen

Your warm embrace

I will never return

Your aroma

I will never scent again

On your stomach

Red spider lilies bloom

And your beautiful petals

Now kindly scatter
