Damaged
I've been afraid...afraid to love, afraid to see, but I'm hoping there's someone, especially for me. I got a message, it's your face I see, my eyes seem to like you...but will my heart agree? My heart has been damaged, stomped and rejected....It's hard to get through now, it's fully protected. I changed the lock code and added a key, I threw it away... is there a locksmith for me?
I keep hearing "I won't hurt you" but I guess patience is a virtue...
The truth? What's that? I haven't heard it for years... I've only heard lies, felt pain, cried tears.... It's not fair to others that want to get to know me, but I hope they understand, can acknowledge and see. See that I'm hurt, but I'm trying to be...a good wife for someone who's protective of me. Someone who lights up when I am around, someone who can pick me up, if I'm down...Someone who can tell me things that are true, I'm hoping to find love, could that someone be you?
