Damaged Beyond Repair

I am stuck in a bound,

with the chains you found,

but how is that fair?

That I am the one left damaged beyond repair,

For your sins,

For the feelings you lost deep within.

I sit and wonder why me?

Why is the girl I used to be?

But truth is I know why,

I can no longer be vulnerable,

The results are horrible.

I can no longer trust,

Cause where there is truth there is disgust,

No one wants to hear the thoughts you have to bear.

I often think about that knight who died with a loving thought,

cause till the end he would have fought,

his family he would never leave.

So why am I stuck with the family of thieves,

A product of abadonedment that feeds the raging sea,

That you can find deep within me.

I try to calm the storm,

But it was your hand that closed that door.

A heart I tried to fix,

Instead it left me in a twist.

It wasn't even my job.

I was the kid!

It really isn't fair,

Am I really that damaged beyond repair.
