Damaged Soul

Do not touch her there do not touch her there
Went across the young innocent girls head

Without her consent, She knows you don’t care
She doesn’t hear your words because you all are dead to her

As a teen, her innocence was taken
Not her fault but She couldn’t forgive herself

She hated herself and her heart sank in
The Pain that she feels inside could not be free

She bowed my head for an answer from God
He would test her no more than She could bare.

He is her light and her staff and rod
Although it is hard to love, this is rare.

Beginning to love more and more
Now she loves and tends to soar.

It gets rough maybe a day out of the week
But she never gives up because she’s not weak

The haunting memories of her past take over her mind
She goes back to her old times

Times she sat on cold floors at night feeling cold metal against her skin and warm streaks down her cheeks

It’s not the end she hasn’t given up although she feels as if she needs to and why is her life worth living.

She lives for the ones that love her because she can’t find it to love herself.
She’s been broken down and felt like nothing to the world but she’s gotten better opening up to the ones who are there for her.

She is learning to love despite all the negativity people have fed her ears that hurt her soul. She is learning Day by Day.
