Damian

I would give anything

To go back to when we were still little,

And you were still here.

When you being murdered was far from my biggest fear.

When I held your hand as we wandered the park

When we thought we were badass, making shadow puppets in the dark.

And I wonder if you wondered about me,

The years we were apart.

I never forgot about you,

I just thought deep in my heart-

I’d see you soon-

'Without a doubt.'

I never thought for a second

my time was running out.

Your funeral came,

And I was supposed to say goodbye

To a closed casket, that held nothing

But your lifeless body, a suit and a tie.
