Imagine:
In centuries past, night's light only from the moon
And superstitious myths; it emimated doom and gloom.
Where monsters roamed and boogey-men creep'd
Oh! A peasant farmers legends were deeply steeped.
Chills:
Running on the spines of innumerable souls
when the story to spend his tails by the hearth, and near coals.
Griped with fear -- a child heard of a monster hog
whose home is in the forest -- shrouded fog.
Parents:
Pray on children's naïve nature
the mind's crimes, no chance of erasure.
The monster who once spied me from under the bed
now, my young do know his matted fur is blood red.
Imaginations:
An age when fears are so easily molded
where truth and fiction are pliable -- folded.
Nightmares:
Peaceful, childhood dreams evolve while in slumber
As that damnable moon strives to bring visions from the under
Nurturing:
Caretakers are aware; know of innocent's fear
but this was intentional. Now little ones dare only stay near.
