Dance With Me

A simple brush against my cheek,
Such touching makes me weak.
He whispers softly in my ear,
Just loud enough for me to hear.
Come dance with me.

Can’t say I know how, not for sure.
This is something I’ve never done before.
It’s not too hard; you just move your hips.
He takes my hand and kisses my lips.

I close my eyes as he takes the lead.
Suddenly it gets hard to breathe.
I try to keep up as we begin to move faster.
Such rhythmic motions are hard to master.
He dances with me.

He says to me, “Let’s take a break.”
But it’s not long before I wake.
Then I turn to him and whisper softly in his ear,
Something just loud enough for him to hear.
Come dance with me.
