Dance , My first love.
At first dance was something mom or dad put me in to keep me busy, maybe give them a break. Eventually I started taking more and more classes each year. It grew into a passion for me. It made me into the person I am today. It taught me how hard work and dedication can take me so far. It taught me discipline and the most important for me, how to be free and let go. Dance made me realize what love is. The type of love you where you can’t live your life without doing it. The kind of love that when you leave you miss it already and want to go back and continue to work. Every day I can’t wait to go to class that night. Even when things are hard in class my passion and love for it pushes me to work through it and get it the next day. I know it will make me stronger and closer to where I want to be. Each day I go to the studio is almost like a little vacation, a little escape from the world and all your problems. A place I truly am able to let all my emotions out comfortably and get to be free. It allows me to express things that I didn’t even know existed. Just to dance and let the music take you in a way that seems to make you feel things that you didn’t know you could feel, in a way that makes you feel suspended in time with every movement. Dance has such meaning and impact on my life I would truly be lost without it.
